Technical information about this website’s accessibility
Brightpath Healthcare is committed to making its website accessible, in accordance with the Public Sector Bodies (Websites and Mobile Applications) (No. 2) Accessibility Regulations 2018.
Compliance status
The website has been tested against the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.2 AA standard.
This website is partially compliant with the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines version 2.2 AA standard, due to the non-compliances listed below.
Non-accessible content
The content listed below is non-accessible for the following reasons.
Non-compliance with the accessibility regulations
Missing ARIA landmarks and page regions WCAG 2.2 – 1.3.1 Info and Relationships Some pages do not use ARIA landmarks or page regions, which may make it harder for screen reader users to understand and navigate the page structure. We plan to implement proper page regions and ARIA landmarks as part of the new site build by September 2025.
Missing alternative text WCAG 2.2 – 1.1.1 Non-text Content Some video links, profile images, company logos and SVG icons do not have descriptive alternative text. This may prevent screen reader users from understanding important visual content. We plan to ensure all non-text content has appropriate alt text by early September 2025.
Links without clear purpose WCAG 2.2 – 2.4.4 Link Purpose (In Context) Some links do not have clear descriptive text, and some links to the same page use different link text. This can make navigation confusing for screen reader users. We plan to review and update link text to make link purposes clear and consistent by early September 2025.
Headings not properly structured WCAG 2.2 – 2.4.6 Headings and Labels Some pages use multiple <h1> headings, which can make it harder for users of assistive technologies to understand the page hierarchy. We plan to correct heading structures as part of the new website by early September 2025.
Links open new tabs without warning WCAG 2.2 – 3.2.5 Change on Request Some links open in a new browser tab or window without warning, which may confuse some users. We plan to make sure users are clearly informed when links open in a new tab by early September 2025.
Duplicate ID values in code WCAG 2.2 – 4.1.1 Parsing Some pages contain duplicate ID values in the HTML code, which can cause issues for assistive technologies. We plan to fix code errors to meet parsing requirements by early September 2025.
Disproportionate burden
We have not identified any accessibility issues on this website that would constitute a disproportionate burden to fix. We are committed to ensuring ongoing improvements to accessibility as part of the website redevelopment.
Content that’s not within the scope of the accessibility regulations
PDFs and other documents
The accessibility regulations do not require us to fix PDFs or other documents published before 23 September 2018 if they’re not essential to providing our services.
Any new PDFs or Word documents we publish will meet accessibility standards.
Live video
We do not plan to add captions to live video streams because live video is exempt from meeting the accessibility regulations.
What we’re doing to improve accessibility
We are committed to making this website as accessible as possible for all users. To address the issues identified, we are working with our digital agency, AllHuman, to redesign and rebuild the website to meet the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.2 AA standard and the requirements of the European Accessibility Act (EAA).
AllHuman has confirmed that the new website will include:
• Keyboard-only navigation
• Clearly visible focus styles
• Compatibility with screen readers
• High colour contrast
• Mobile-first design
• Clear information hierarchy and categorisation
These features will ensure equitable access for all users, including those with visual, cognitive, or motor impairments.
The new website is currently in development and is expected to launch by October 2025.
We will continue to test the website regularly and make further improvements where needed to ensure accessibility for everyone.
Third-party content Some parts of our website may include third-party content or features, such as embedded icons or tools linking to external platforms like Facebook, Instagram, X and LinkedIn. While we strive to ensure any content, we choose to include is as accessible as possible, we cannot guarantee the accessibility of third-party platforms or components we do not control.
For any third-party services we procure or integrate, we are committed to considering accessibility as part of the decision-making process. Where possible, we ensure our own content — such as videos or posts shared on platforms like YouTube — meets accessibility standards, including providing captions and meaningful descriptions.
Preparation of this accessibility statement
This statement was prepared on 22nd September 2025.
This website was last tested on 8 June 2025 against the WCAG 2.2 AA standard.
The test was carried out by a senior product designer at Rota, part of the Broadlake group. The most viewed pages were manually tested using tools such as Lighthouse, WAVE, built-in browser screen readers, and laptop-specific voice reading software. A further audit of the website was conducted against the WCAG 2.2 AA standard.
